German Innovation Prize 2015
Clariant was a finalist in the prestigious German Business Innovation Award (“Innovationspreis der Deutschen Wirtschaft 2015”) in the Large Company category. I was involved in the development of Clariant’s Licocene polyolefin-based waxes, recognized for advancing sustainability in textiles, plastics, and coatings, and improving the environmental impact across various applications.
ICIS Innovation Award 2020
My team and myself developed innovative waxes based on modified rice bran. These renewable alternatives to fossil-based montan waxes are made from crude rice bran wax, a by-product of rice oil production that doesn’t compete with food resources. In 2020, our products won the ICIS Innovation Award for “Best Product.”
Publications & Patents
Since my university days, I have published numerous scientific and technical papers covering both fundamental research and industrial applications. In addition, I hold over 20 patents focused on the production and use of polymer additives and waxes.
